Unique Porous Structure: Nickel fiber felt has a three-dimensional, interconnected porous structure (high porosity, large specific surface area, and uniform pore size distribution). This structure facilitates the effective diffusion of reactant gases (e.g., hydrogen) to the catalyst layer and the efficient removal of product liquids/gases (e.g., water/oxygen).

Alkaline Water Electrolyzers (AWE): Typically used on the cathode side to promote hydrogen generation. Carbon materials are unsuitable for the oxygen-evolving anode side in electrolyzers, making nickel a critical alternative.
Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolyzers: Used as a GDL, sometimes with additional metal coatings to improve catalytic properties.
Alkaline Fuel Cells: Utilized as an electrode or diffusion layer, especially with liquid fuels and oxidants.
Metal-Air Batteries and Flow Batteries: Employed as a conductive substrate and diffusion layer.
